Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Chaplain Detained by ICE

CINCINNATI, OH - On Wednesday, July 9 at 3:00PM faith leaders, elected officials, and community advocates will gather outside the Homeland Security office in Blue Ash for a press conference calling for the release of Imam Ayman Soliman, Muslim Chaplain for Cincinnati Children's Hospital and Imam at the Clifton Mosque.

Ayman immigrated to the United States from Egypt over a decade ago and was granted asylum status. In December 2024, however, his status was revoked. Ayman was detained at an ICE check in this morning. Several clergy and elected officials were present, including State Representatives Rep. Karen Brownlee (D-28), Rep. Rachel Baker (D-27), and Rep. Munira Abdullahi (D-09).
